You can’t pour from an empty cup.  In order to operate at full capacity you need to take care of yourself.  Here are some ways to help keep your cup full.

Positive Thinking

Positive thinking means that you approach challenges in a positive and productive way. You think the best is going to happen and not the worst. Self-talk is the unspoken thoughts that run through your head all day. They can be positive or negative. You can learn to change your negative thoughts into positive ones to help reduce stress in your life.

Positive Self-Talk

Everybody has an inner dialogue that plays over and over in our minds. A lot of the time the self-talk we have developed is negative and when constantly repeated it will fuel our feeling of guilt, anger and fear. Making the conscious effort to slow down and pay more attention to your thoughts and gently replace the negative criticism with thoughts of your positive traits, will help you learn how to rewrite your inner dialogue. See tips on how to tame your inner critic.

Achieving Balance

The best work-life balance is different for each of us because we all have different priorities and different lives. Life balance means that you have a handle on the various parts of your life and that you are not focusing on one area more than another however, having a work life balance is always an ongoing quest since life is constantly changing.

The Power of Colouring

A simple act such as colouring takes your attention away from yourself and enables you to live in the moment, much like a meditative exercise.

Living in the Moment

Living in the present moment is the only way to completely enjoy life to the fullest. Enjoy every bite of your delicious food and enjoy quality time spent with your family and friends. Here are some ways to incorporate mindfulness into your everyday life.

Emotional Wellness

If you see yourself in a positive light, your life experiences will tend to be positive and healthy, even when you face challenges. If your self-esteem is typically low, you may find that challenges are overwhelming and you may have a harder time staying motivated.

Live With No Ragrets

All of the decisions that you have made up until this point have taught you an invaluable lesson which has made you stronger. You wouldn’t be the person you are today without making mistakes and learning lessons along the way. Making mistakes gives you the ability to learn how to make better choices.
